The Folk Of The Faraway Tree written by Enid Blyton, published by George Newnes in 1952, beautifully illustrated by D.M Wheeler and comes complete with its original dust wrapper. It is an early 4th edition hardback.
- The dust jacket which has not been price clipped, shows the original selling price of 7/-. It's in pretty good condition but has some edge wear particularly to its top edge and spine head and tail (please check photos carefully).
- The red boards are in good shape, just some slight bumping to corners and spine head and tail, and a small faded patch to the top left-hand corner.
- The ffep has an inscription, dated 1954, but otherwise the textblock is complete and in great condition throughout, clean and bright with barely a mark or crease.
- The only real issue is that the final page is very creased with a tear to the bottom edge (see final photo).
For a book which is over 70 years old, this popular vintage childrens book presents very well.
