The Cisco QSFP-4X10G-LR-S is a QSFP+ parallel single-mode optical transceiver module compliant with 40GBASE-PSM4 (Parallel Single Mode 4 lanes), enabling aggregate 40 Gbps connectivity (4x10 Gbps per lane) over up to 10km of single-mode fiber (SMF) using a 12-fiber MPO/MTP connector at 1310nm wavelength. Designed for Cisco Nexus, ASR, and Catalyst switches/routers, it supports breakout to 4x independent 10GBASE-LR SFP+ modules via MPO-to-LC breakout cables, with digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM), low power consumption (≤3.5W), and commercial temperature range (0-70°C) operation using DFB laser/PIN receiver technology. This hot-pluggable module facilitates high-density data center interconnects, enterprise backbone links, and long-haul 40GbE applications with RoHS compliance and IEEE 802.3ba standards support.
