These square headed square nails are popular for cabinet work and some furniture applications

- These were used for boxes, drawers, picture frames, and all sorts of furniture
- These nails likely were machine made in the mid 1800’s to the early 1900’s
- Machine made nails came into use in the 1820's and were made until the common wire nails replaced them
- Some light rust is on the nails from their many years of storage and were not ever used
- These nails are 1 1/2" long
- The heads are 5/64” square
- The nails are 3/64” square at the blunt tip
