D'Angeico was founded in New York in 1932. They create guitars characterized by their bold Art Deco designs, making them a beloved brand.
This instrument is a VESTAX-era NYL-2 CUSTOM, all solid wood construction.
It features a spruce top, maple back and sides, a two-piece maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Beautiful, highly skilled craftsmanship is applied to the headstock, fingerboard, and position markers, giving the guitar a luxurious look.
The pickups have been replaced with P90 types. P90 mounting screw holes have been added to the body to accommodate these changes.
Condition: The headstock inlay is chipped (and starting to chip further), the top and back of the headstock are cloudy, the pickguard is missing, and the controls are slightly rough. The frets are original but have some wear. There is also a signature on the side of the body (details unknown).
Although there are signs of wear such as dents and scratches, playability is excellent, including the truss rod.
