Tough Signature -Eddie Murphy (debut 1912-died 1969) on a 3x5 card
Murray was an oufielder for many years starting with the Philadelphia Athletics (1912 - 1915) then the Chicago White Sox (1915 - 1921) and later the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1926
He played for the White Sox in the infamous 1919 World Series - but was not in on the 'fix'...
Nicknamed "Honest Eddie" he inscribed "May every day be a good day/ Sincerely" on this 3x5 card and signed 'J Edward Murphy'
Great souvenier from the team later called 'Black Sox' after seven Sox players were implicated in the 'fix' to determine the outcome of the Series
