What is Daktarin 2% Cream?

Daktarin 2% Cream is a quick, effective remedy for fungal infections such as athlete’s foot.

What are fungal infections and what can cause them?

Fungal infections happen when the natural yeast or fungus that lives on your body is given the right environment to grow. Fungus loves warm, moist environments, and this is what causes the growth and spread. Environments that fungus thrive in our sweaty clothes or sports shoes, and when it grows in these conditions it can cause skin infections, known as fungal infections.

You can experience these infections all over the body, but some of the most common areas include:

• The torso

• Hands or feet

• Scalp or outer ear

• Groin

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use if:

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients this cream contains 

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding 

• You are taking or using any other medications 

Important information

• Always make sure that you wash your hands before and after use to prevent spreading the fungal infection to other parts of your body.

• Do not share or use another person’s Daktarin cream as it may be harmful to them. Daktarin is used to treat fungal infections which can be spread by sharing creams.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w

Other ingredients: water, PEG-6, PEG-32 and glycol stearate, oleoyl macroglycerides, liquid paraffin, benzoic acid (E210) and butylated hydroxyanisole (E320).
