2 Very interesting Scrapbooks or similar containing PHOTOCOPIES of Daily Express Football reporting covering the period November 1933 to April 1934.

These softback lined books measure 21cm by 30cm with the first containing 94 pages of clippings and the other 34 pages of clippings with the later pages unused.

The original compiler ( see below ) would have had access to an old archive of newspapers and they must have spent many many hours carefully photocopying those and then cutting and sticking the copies into these books.

They would have been used for reference purposes and as they run in date order you can easily find a report on a certain match etc ( assuming the Express covered that game ). In common with any National newspaper the vast majority of the content relates to the First Division ( won this year by Arsenal ) and the bigger clubs.

Most of the content is match reporting although there are also general Football related articles and results and league tables etc.

These were compiled by Malcolm 'Malc' Hartley the well known Telegraph and Argus Journalist / Assistant Editor who also wrote 5 books on Bradford Park Avenue FC and who was a well known member of the AFS or Association of Football Statisticians.

Very good condition as per the scans.
