The Montegrappa Cigar pen was first released in 1997 at the height of the cigar craze. 

Carved from Cured tobacco coloured celluloid, this pen simulates the look, feel and experience of a fine cigar. It actually looks like a cigar at first sight. Montegrappa did a fine job with the celluloid part of this pen, if you look closely you see the celluloid looks like tobacco leaves. 

In lieu of a cigar band, a .925 sterling silver clip adorns the cap, resembling a leaf of tobacco. 

A more than satisfactory substitute for a hand-rolled Havana, with this pen in your pocket you'll never need a light, just an occasional dip of ink.

Together with fitted Montegrappa wooden box decorated with leather patch, illustrated outer box, instruction manual and introduction booklet

The concerned pen has never been used nor inked. Scarce and iconic.

Cigar


Montegrappa Cigar is an outstanding achievement by the artisans and technicians of Montegrappa. Made of a solid celluloid rod which takes a year to make and two months to cure, it catches the colouration of cured tobacco and is embellished with sterling silver or 18K gold (in a limited edition of 100 pcs. only).

Montegrappa Cigar features state-of-the-art performance for an ergonomically correct extension from the hand through to the pen and on to the paper. Cigar is equipped with a large capacity (1.4 Cc.) ink reservoir which is piston fed. Cigar boasts a flexible platinum masked solid 18K gold nib for soft and cushiony writing and with a hand-turned ebonite feed for consistent ink flow. 

Montegrappa Cigar also features a unique and original mechanism which allows its owner to extend the grip section and expose a window into the ink reservoir. 

Each pen is individually numbered and signed and is presented in an attractive leather embossed wooden case, reminiscent of a prestigious cigar box.
