Or folds on the pages. It feels like it’s almost never been opened. The pages are still very stiff in the spine. As shown in the pictures slight fading on the top edge and spine of the book probably just from light exposure on a bookshelf over the years 
📚this item comes from a smoke free home with a cat but I keep all my items in a cupboard away from the kitty. I do thrift the items in my shop so I can’t say where they came from but I wash all fabric items and wipe down all books before selling.
