Introducing the Surefix Rise & Fall Gutter Bracket

The new Rise and Fall Gutter Bracket from Surefix saves you both time and money while adhering to new health and safety regulations. Unlike the installation method of the current bracket, the Surefix Rise and Fall Gutter Bracket doesn’t cause damage or cracking to a building’s brickwork, and it has been subjected to rigorous industry testing, including pull-out and downward load testing. The results, shown below, speak for themselves. This new solution is faster to install, stronger when in place and safer for site personnel. It has more adjustment and can be easily removed for maintenance etc.

Faster Speed and Easier Install

The innovative Surefix bracket design will save you time during construction. A standard four-bed plot only takes 45 minutes using the Surefix Bracket, which is a huge time save compared to over 2 hours using thecurrent bracket installation method.

Using the brackets in conjunction with the setting tool and drill bit can ensure the perfect fit, every Time.

Using the brackets in conjunction with the setting tool and drill bit can ensure the perfect fit, every time.
the innovative design of the setting tool easily inserts into a standard drill chuck. The custom design of the slot allows the setting tool to comfortably fit over the end of the bracket stake, which allows it to be easily wound into the plug. You can safely and quickly install the bracket by drilling a hole, inserting a masonry plug then winding in the stake with our custom-made setting tool. With this method the Surefix solution doesn’t crack or damage brickwork (unlike
the traditional bracket) meaning there is no requirement for follow on trades to check and repair brickwork, saving you both time and money.

Using our custom made drill bit means the exact drill depth is achieved every time, the depth stop means the back of the brick is never blown preventing debris falling into the cavity. It drills the perfect size hole for the masonry plug to work to its full potential which ensures the Surefix bracket is solidly secured in place and will not come loose over time.

Stronger and More Durable

  • As the Surefix Bracket is only fitted once it holds firm in the brickwork, the current bracket has to be tweaked and adjusted making it loose and un-safe.
  • Thickened Profile The Surefix Rise and Fall Gutter Bracket thread is thicker, making it stronger for shear loads, furthermore the slot gives greater adjustment capabilities.

Safer to Install, and Safer for Other Operatives

The current bracket is designed to be built in with the brickwork, this not only causes the potential to be fitted incorrectly by the bricklayer but also creates a H&S hazard for follow on trades. There has been several cases of operatives sustaining injuries from the protruding gutter stakes, and due to this quite a number major house builders are banning this installation method meaning the brackets have to be fitted in retrospect. This is not how they are designed and as mentioned is a slow process which can cause damage to the brickwork. The Surefix Bracket can be easily installed at any stage once the brickwork is complete.

Installation process

The Surefix Rise & Fall bracket is much easier and safer to install.

  • Mark out your bracket every 600mm making sure gutter outlets are supported both sides.
  • Drill a hole in your morter, brickwork or render using our depth stop Surefix SDS Drill bit.
  • Insert the plug supplied
  • Easily wind the bracket in using the Surefix setting tool, which fits into the end of the drill, or use a spanner until it meets the brickwork, this may require further adjustment to tighten and assure its level.
  • Insert U cup and level remaining U cups to desired height using string line.
  • Tighten the nuts, remve the string line and clip in gutter.

TIP! Use silicone spray on the clips and a pair of grips to clip the gutter in if its too tight.
