Part 1 of Robert Fripp's 1970 record of King Crimson's survival. The second album, "In the Wake of Poseidon," which captures the legacy of the original Court Crimson and the beginnings of a new generation of Crimson, is now available in a complete package featuring Dolby Atmos, a 2025 mix, and plenty of recording session audio!
●After the release of the progressive rock masterpiece "In the Court of the Crimson King," the original Crimson suddenly collapsed during a US tour shortly thereafter, Robert Fripp inherited the legacy of the original Crimson. Giles, Giles & Fripp reunited for a limited time, and with the support of original and new members, they created their second album, "In the Wake of Poseidon," as the fourth installment in the 50th Anniversary Series!
●This release also follows the 50th Series format. This Blu-ray (audio-only, worldwide European pressing) features a collection of new 2025 mixes, including Steven Wilson's Dolby Atmos mix, 5.1 surround, and stereo, as well as an alternate "Poseidon's Awakening" elemental mix by David Singleton, bringing a "what-if" world to life, and recording session audio, most of which is never before seen.
●The Blu-ray (audio-only) is once again a worldwide European pressing, but the CD portion containing the S. Wilson 2025 stereo mix, D. Singleton, and elemental mixes is SHM-CD format only for the Japanese release. It comes in a PP-coated paper jacket.
●In addition to the original booklet, it also includes a Japanese book with full English liner notes and original commentary for the Japanese release, and an extra paper jacket.
●Since this was treated as part of "Sailor's Tales" during the 40th anniversary series, this is the first time it has been released as a standalone in the anniversary series! It's finally here, in this impressive, final-resolution package!
