■ Recording and playback from USB flash drive
Record from CD/cassette tape/external input devices to USB flash drive (MP3 files), and record from CD/USB flash drive (MP3 format)/external input devices to cassette tape. Sources are automatically saved to USB flash drive folders (CD/LINE/TAPE) for each source, allowing for easy digital-to-analog conversion without a computer.
■ Microphone Input
Equipped with a front-mounted microphone input jack. You can play/record only from the connected microphone input, or mix the audio from a CD/cassette tape/USB flash drive with the audio from the connected microphone.
*A mix of CD and microphone audio cannot be recorded to a USB flash drive.
■ Echo Effect
The AD-850 features an echo effect that adds echo to the sound from a connected microphone. A front-panel switch allows you to set the echo effect to two levels or off. Enjoy karaoke with just the AD-850 and a microphone. (A separate amplifier and speakers are required for karaoke.)

The "AD-850-SE" is a combination cassette deck and CD player that supports recording and playback from USB flash drives.
The cassette drive is a two-head, one-way type that supports recording and playback, and is compatible with cassette tapes in normal, chrome, or metal (playback only) positions. It also features basic performance, including a pitch control playback function (±10% variable).
The CD player can play not only music CDs but also CD-R/RW discs containing MP3 files. Various playback modes are available, including program play, shuffle play, and repeat play (single song/all songs/program). The USB flash drive playback and recording function supports MP3 file playback and recording, and supports program play, shuffle play, and repeat play just like CDs.
Dubbing between media is possible, including recording from cassette tape/CD/external input device to USB memory (MP3 files), and from CD/USB memory (MP3 files)/external input device to cassette tape.
The front panel features a microphone input jack with echo function, allowing you to record microphone audio to cassette or USB memory. You can also use it for karaoke practice by mixing the microphone audio with background music played from a CD/cassette/USB and recording it to a cassette tape for confirmation.
It also has a convenient timer function. By combining it with a commercially available timer, you can wake up to your favorite song, or use the timer recording (cassette) function to enjoy old-fashioned radio program recording.
