I never planned to part with this piece, or really any that are in my upcoming auctions,
but alas my time and obsessive love of sea glass collecting has dwindled;
as many other hobbies of equal satisfaction start filling it's place... So it's about time 
someone else gets to enjoy these amazing works of natural art for a time, as I did.

I consider myself a sea glass purist.  I DESPISE the idea of man-made, 
home-tumbled frosted glass trying to masquerade as the real deal multi-colored sea glass.

It sincerely BURNS ME UP.  
So I'm telling YOU the tricks these scoundrels use
 to pull off their lies & sell fake sea glass!

Whether a seller is being straightforward and telling you it's tumbled, then they
INEXPLICABLY bring their man-made rock-tumbler glass to a beach to take pictures of it?
(Do you smell something? Me too 🐄💩)

OR
straight-up LYING TO YOU and telling you that these are 'Davenport Marbles & Bottoms'
(20 years hunting Davenport & Secret Cove, NEVER ONCE did I find a Lundberg marble 🤷‍♂️)

OR 
selling 'lots of 100' of ultra rare colors, for example '20-pieces of surf-tumbled perfect round bright red natural sea glass'
that's coming from Asia (PS: there is lots of real sea glass from Japan; we must be vigilant!)

But if it's from China?

I have researched EVERY CHINESE 'beach sea glass' seller & it's ALL fake sea glass.

A LITTLE STORY ABOUT HUNTING FOR
EPIC LUNDBERG SEA GLASS MULTIS IN DAVENPORT CA
( Feel free to ask me any more details)

All sea glass was found throughout years & years of shivering sunrises in a soaked & musty old wetsuit, all alone in the mists of the mighty Pacific Ocean's breaks.  I scurried down dangerous cliffs more times than I'm able to count to, many times with no wing-man, only to be battered by those bitterly cold waves for hours and hours.  Picture an endless cue of linebackers rushing at you. But I knew what was hidden just below the breaking waves... and I had to satiate my obsession for these extraordinary sea glass gems!  

The default danger level was at 11 nearly every time I hunted, and many cold damp mornings alone with the seals at this dangerously hidden little cove were easily life-threatening if I didn't keep my wits about myself.  This was a secret beach, fully surrounded on every side by 100ft, nearly vertical cliffs of loose rock... Getting down w/o a problem was a victory in itself, let alone hunting for epic sea glass. Now you faced falling rock, rogue waves, a steep inclining beach, and a BRUTAL riptide on the ocean's way-out.  

That's only if you've dialed-in what time of year and at what tidal & lunar cycles give you the best chance to actually be able to hunt for and bring home a nice pile of the best of the best sea glass in the world. Just one slip-up in your routine could be the end your hunting days just like that, forever...  And many visits to beach yielded nothing but hours of dangerous games of 'tag' with the mighty Pacific Ocean... You could hunt hours and hours some days and find NOTHING.  In fact, most days of the year are exactly like that at Davenport.

There is a reason this sea glass is so treasured by folks with a God-given appreciation for natural beauty.  I regularly risked life and limb to feel the incomparable satisfaction of pulling an epic sea glass boulder from the grips of the mighty Pacific... and somehow accomplishing this feat with nothing but by my own bare hands and an tenacious nature...  Surely I was mesmerized by the sea glass to risk so much for such little things 😂 

Yet I loved it more than anything in the world, and it gives me great joy to share my treasures with you and the world now.
