One thing left out of the factory manual for the 2013 chrysler charger/300 AWD cars is that you best have that front diff on the block before you drop it into the car.

And if you have to repair/replace it, well, you have a lot of stuff to deal with.

If you didn't have the diff on the block, and that would be most of us who haven't monkeyed with one, a jack adapter would be helpful for the home garage mechanic.

And if you don't have a welder, chop saw, bedframes you picked up off the street, some bolts sied for the middle holes on that engine cradle/suspension sub frame screwed into the car with 4 giant bolts to keep it from sliding about, then I have just the thing for you.

What you can do is take a scissors jack and block it up until it slightly lifts the engine using the NAG1 (or whatever transmission your car has) as an engine stand and then with the wheels off and whatever else you feel is necessary (I already had my front end disassembled) and then use this jack adapter with the car on jack stands to lift or lower the frame up where those giant 4 bolts will catch a thread and install the subframe.

You can't put the diff on the block with that subframe in the way.

There is no other way to get the front diff on, and the shop guide doesn't tell you to install it before dropping the block.

It probably works for all the AWD cars as they were all mercedes 4matic drive lines.  I put in my year because that was the year of my car.   Look at the pictures of the subframe and look at your car and if it matches it will probably work.

The pictures show my beautiful dirt dauber welds and the how my custom standard auto jack frame adapter got the job done.

So why the color?   This will no doubt be the pride and joy of any shop!

I had installed some of those replacement bumper gap to body rubber bits for a friends' mom who loved her caddy but hated that it had those spacers rot out.

The paint was duplcolor from years ago when they made decent paint and a can of it didn't cost a lot nor did you get half a can's worth of paint.   With their fan spray heads in the old days I could lay the paint on pretty good.

The car is gone, I still had the adapter and figured you could use it and I had the paint sitting around so might as well make use of it.

Be the first on your block to have a chrysler subframe jack adapter painted in 1977 caddy heavy metallic orange.... :P
