This highly detailed UGM-133 Trident-II D5 submarine-launched ballistic missile model has been designed and manufactured in the UK by Titans Product Design. Developed with accuracy and presentation in mind, this model is ideal for collectors, defence enthusiasts, educators, and display purposes.
The model captures the distinctive external form of the Trident-II D5, including its proportions, nose profile, and stage transitions, using publicly available reference material. Surface detail has been kept crisp and understated, reflecting the clean, functional design language of the real missile rather than exaggerated or fictionalised features.
Designed for display use, the model works equally well as a standalone piece, a desk or cabinet display, or as part of a wider strategic weapons or submarine-themed collection. It is supplied as a non-functional, inert scale model.
Scales 1:350 and 1:200 are 3 part models (Missile, Stand and Base).
Scales 1:144 and 1:100 are 4 part models (Missile, Aerospike, Stand and Base).
Scales 1:72, 1:36 and 1:24 are multipart missiles with the Missile broken down into it's stages with detailed internal design (Stages shown in expanded image)
Finishes available as model kit or premium display model. Model kit comes supplied in constituent parts in bare plastic ready for painting. Premium display model comes assembled and painted (as pictured in listing image) by our professional art department. Option to upgrade to wooden plinth and engraved brass plaque upon request.
About the Real Trident-II D5 Missile
The UGM-133 Trident II D5 is one of the most capable and enduring submarine-launched ballistic missile systems ever fielded. Introduced into service in the late 1980s, it remains a key element of the strategic deterrent forces of both the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Trident-II D5 is deployed from Ohio-class submarines in US Navy service and Vanguard-class submarines in Royal Navy service. Its three-stage solid-fuel design provides intercontinental range, while highly sophisticated guidance systems deliver exceptional accuracy compared to earlier generations of SLBMs. Ongoing life-extension programmes have ensured the system remains operationally relevant well into the 21st century.
Within the UK, the Trident-II D5 underpins the Continuous At-Sea Deterrent (CASD), representing a central pillar of national defence policy for several decades.
