Description: A nice very fine or better banknote from the Bahamas. This is the One Dollar issued based on The Central Bank of The Bahamas Act 1974. The note is green in color on multicolored underprint on the front. The front of the note shows the image of a young Queen Elizabeth II to the left. The back is a multicolored depiction of the fish and corals under water with the Bahamas Arms to the right. The front displays the denomination, the signature of T. B. Donaldson, the serial number, and the denomination. This particular note has the serial number U 701262 printed twice in black on the front but not on the back. The note has a security thread left of center and a watermark depicting a conch shell. This is a very nice note worthy of a spot in your collection. Size: The banknote measures ~6 1/8" by ~2 5/8".
Pick Number: P 35a and is listed in the banknote book as 301a.
Condition: I would grade this note as nice very fine or better. The note has all of its details well preserved. The note is intact with a few vertical light folds and some light roughness along the edges. The note also has a small (~1/16') split at the center of the lower edge and another near the top right corner that is about 1/8". The note has light soiling but no stains. The note has no pinholes and no graffiti. The corners are intact but show some minor rounding. Please see photo for additional condition information.
