Description: This boxed cockpit detail set contains resin parts, a photo etch sheet and an acetate sheet for the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 and Bf 109E-4 series of aircraft, which is designed to upgrade the Tamiya 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3/4 kit, although should fit other similar 1/72 Bf 109E-3/4 kits with care. 

The resin parts include cockpit side walls, cockpit tub, seat, joystick, gun sight etc, a photo etch sheet containing an instrument panel, seat belts, rudder pedals etc and an acetate sheet of instrument dials. 

For those not familiar with resin aftermarket parts, they are almost invariably packaged and sold with the parts attached to their casting block - see image (in layman’s terms, a large sprue gate) which will need to be carefully removed. 

Resin aftermarket parts normally offer far better detail and are more often that not a more accurate representation of the kit part they are to replace. This set is a great introduction to resin parts as they are a straight swap for the original kit items, albeit some careful surgery will be required to remove the kit items before inserting the resin versions.
