Product Description:
The new UPA-USB is a complete set of adapters where the main device can be connected directly or via an optional DB9 male/female 1:1 extension cable. It is equipped with a 40-pin ZIF socket for all narrow and wide DIP / DIL devices and a 16-pin SOIC ZIF (150 mil, narrow) socket for most commonly used devices.
The new UPA-USB is a complete set of adapters where the main device can be connected directly or via an optional DB9 male/female 1:1 extension cable. It is equipped with a 40-pin ZIF socket for all narrow and wide DIP / DIL devices and a 16-pin SOIC ZIF (150 mil, narrow) socket for most commonly used devices.
Device configuration is done via a special configuration key, which is both convenient and safe compared to manual wiring.
Other packages can be configured by plugging in commonly used adapters for the 40-pin ZIF socket.
The main unit also includes a 10-pin ISP connector to connect the included ISP adapter using a standard 1:1 flat ribbon cable (included). The included PLCC ISP adapter can be mounted directly on the solder chip of the target device, making it both easier and safer than soldering or manually connecting it using clips. (Power from the UUSP to the ISP target device can be enabled or disabled via a jumper next to the 10-pin ISP connector)
Simply connect the motherboard directly to the UPA programmer or use a DB9 male/female extension cable (1:1). Insert the correct configuration key into the motherboard slot and start programming via the ZIF or SOIC socket. You can also use the supplied DIL to 10-pin flat ribbon header by placing it inside the ZIF socket and connecting a SOIC clamp or clip for use by the ISP.
Select the adapter you want to use and connect the flat cable to the adapter (both the cable and the adapter are labelled PIN1) and to the 10-pin ISP connector on the motherboard. Select the VCC power supply via the jumper next to the ISP connector on the motherboard (ON = target is powered by upa, OFF = target powers itself). Slide the adapter onto the soldered PLCC MCU on the target board. (No soldering, no looking at the pin layout, no counting pins, saves a lot of time and hassle and makes your job faster, more accurate and easier).
Once your shop is equipped with our adapter kit, you will have a whole new UPA experience.
