Item Description:
This is the Shellman Grand Complication “Classic” (Ref. 6770-H32167), a high-grade quartz grand-complication watch that brings together four major complications: a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, moon phase, and split-seconds chronograph. Shellman describes this concept as a world-first achieved through a quartz movement. The Classic pairs a traditional chronograph-style case with an ornate guilloché dial, and the moon-phase display uses a midnight-blue disc with gold-foil moon and stars.
According to Shellman, the original watch series received the “Watch of the Year” and “Special Jury Prize” (World Photo Press) in December 1996, and the Grand Complication Classic was certified for permanent exhibition in 1997 at the Musée International d’Horlogerie (International Museum of Watchmaking) in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
This watch was overhauled in January 2026 by Clutch Co., Ltd. (K.K. Clutch) in Tokyo, Japan. The service documentation/certificate is included.
Clutch is introduced as a repair company specializing in Citizen watches, offering services such as repairs, overhauls, battery replacement, band/strap work, and water-resistance testing.
Public listings also mention that Clutch accepts certain older, high water-resistance Citizen models that are no longer supported by the manufacturer, and that they have equipment capable of water-resistance testing up to 30 ATM (as described in the shop information).
