A beautiful and weighty Imperial Ironstone platter by Cockson, Chetwynd & Co, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1866–1872).
Condition is very good for its age. There are minor stilt marks and light wear to the underside, as expected with antique ironstone, while the front remains remarkably clean and glossy. No cracks or repairs noted.
Well-made, thick, and durable with clear printed and impressed factory marks, indicating authentic English manufacture. A classic white ironstone form that works beautifully in both traditional and modern settings.
