Cucumber Artist F1 Артист   Early, self-pollinated, gherkin type, high-yielding, highly marketable, transportable, long-lasting, drought-, cold- and disease-resistant. Bunch-shaped, does not turn yellow, does not overgrow, is not bitter, gherkins are uniform, ripen together, 6–12 cm. Ideal for growing mini gherkins.

The parthenocarpic hybrid of early ripening (40–46 days) selected by the famous Dutch company Bejo is very popular among Ukrainian summer residents, farmers and gardeners. For example, farmers Petro and Yaroslav Mazury from Novokiivka in the Kherson region grow cucumbers of many varieties and among them every year they definitely plant the Artist cucumber, because it always produces fruits of excellent marketable qualities.

The Artist variety has many advantages among self-pollinated hybrids. First of all, it is valued for its high taste and excellent appearance. The fruits are cylindrical in shape from 8 to 12 cm, dark green, smooth, with large frequent tubercles, white spines weighing up to 100 g. Very fragrant and crunchy, completely devoid of bitterness. This is an ideal hybrid for growing in the winter-spring period due to its ability to tolerate low light conditions. This is one of the few self-pollinated hybrids that gives a stable harvest during a long fruiting period - from June to October. From 5 to 8 fruits are formed in one node. Artist is a cucumber of universal use. It has a bright cucumber taste when consumed fresh and retains excellent taste when salted and pickled.

The cucumber is suitable for growing in open ground and in greenhouses, in beds and on trellises. The plant is strong, able to withstand a significant load of fruits, with developed side shoots, which requires the formation of a bush when grown on trellises: the side shoots are pinched at a height of 0.5 m, and the main whip at a height of 2 m.

The hybrid can be grown both by seedling method and by direct sowing into the soil.

Artist is a cucumber that has the ability to recover after a short-term drought. Watering should be carried out exclusively with warm water under the root. It is necessary to note the demandingness of the cucumber to top dressing. Before sowing seeds during digging the soil, mineral fertilizers should be applied. In the future, at least 5 top dressings will be required, alternating mineral fertilizers with organic matter.
