RXW (R.X.W.) is a Japanese watch brand often associated with Ken Trading, a Ginza-area vintage watch retailer/distributor frequently referenced in collector listings. RXW became known for neo-vintage tool watches—timepieces that capture the clean, functional look of classic tool watches while offering modern, practical wearability and a solid, robust build.

Many RXW models were produced in limited runs and a number of them have been discontinued, which is why RXW continues to attract a loyal collector market both in Japan and internationally. Collectors appreciate RXW’s attention to detail in dial and case design, its emphasis on durable materials, and the use of reliable, everyday-friendly movements—making these watches not only collectible, but also genuinely enjoyable to wear.

MOON STARS features a moonphase display along with a triple calendar showing the month, date, and day of the week. Calendar corrector pushers make setting straightforward, giving the watch true vintage charm while staying highly practical for everyday wear.

The case is made of SUS316L stainless steel, and water resistance is rated at 50 meters (per original specifications). Ivory-toned dial variations are known, and certain pieces come with an exhibition (see-through) caseback. With limited availability and reportedly small production numbers, MOON STARS is rarely seen on the market.

This RXW watch was professionally overhauled on March 20, 2025 by Ebisu Watch Repair Workshop (Ebisu Tokei Shuri Kobo) in Ebisu, Tokyo, Japan. The crystal was replaced, and gaskets/seals were also replaced at the same time.
