Cyberforce (Vol 2) #24 (NM) June `96. Written Brian Holguin. Art and cover David Finch.

Misery explains to Ripclaw that Kimata has gone insane, taken over Cyberdata, and used its alien technology to build the Genesis Wheel, a device that transforms the S.H.O.C.s into cyborg drones that he controls. She claims she is working against Kimata and needs Ripclaw’s help. In New York, Cyberforce returns to the Subplex suspecting Timmie has turned against them, and they find him catatonic. Later, Zadrok contacts them and tells them to join him the following morning. Meanwhile, Ripclaw grudging agrees to help Misery, but she then turns him over to the S.H.O.C.s. In Manhattan, Layter refuses Kimata’s order to return to Antarctica. In Queens, Ballistic leaves a bar, questioning her place in life. The next morning, Cyberforce goes to the ruins of Cyberdata headquarters in Manhattan. Chip and Corben separate Zadrok from his cybernetic linkages, and he claims only he can stop Kraken. He also tells them he has transferred the team’s real memories to the Subplex computers. Heatwave orders Chip and Corben back to the jet while the team follows Zadrok through a portal. Back at the Subplex, Killjoy awakens.
