Train Above The City is Felt’s instrumental companion album to The Pictorial Jackson Review, originally released in 1988 and presented here as a 2018 UK limited edition remastered vinyl reissue on Cherry Red. Stripping away vocals, the album focuses on elegant arrangements and melodic themes, blending lounge, cool jazz and ambient pop influences. Calm, atmospheric and understated, it offers a unique perspective on Felt’s final period and stands as a refined instrumental work.
