Using a wide source base, the author first attempted to shed light in detail on the mechanism of the functioning of the repressive and punitive system in Ukraine as the main tool of the Bolshevik regime in the fight against the national liberation movement.

The author will analyze the activities of punitive bodies (Cheka, NKVD, etc.), political processes, deportations, the Holodomor, camps (GULAG), and the general repressive policy of the Soviet government in Ukraine.
