Mark Skaife’s “Golden Child” chassis HRT 045 is widely regarded as the most successful single car chassis in the history of Australian Touring Cars/V8 Supercars. Debuted as VX in 2001, won Championship and Bathurst 1000 with Skaife/Longhurst. Dominated 2002: 15 wins, won Championship, Bathurst victory with Skaife/Richards despite overheating drama. Converted to VY in 2003, claimed Adelaide 500. Record 20 HRT wins, 2 titles, 2 Bathurst’s. Retired 2004, restored; now collector’s icon.
