For the History and Photography Buff
16 vintage 35mm photo slides taken during the 1970s of Bad Ischl in Austria.
Bad Ischl is a historic spa town in Upper Austria (Oberösterreich), located in the Salzkammergut region. It became famous in the 19th century as the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I, who proposed to Empress Elisabeth (“Sisi”) there in 1853. The town is known for its salt and sulfur springs, elegant imperial architecture such as the Kaiservilla, and long-standing traditions of health tourism. Today, Bad Ischl combines spa culture with alpine scenery, cultural festivals, and outdoor activities, and it was named a European Capital of Culture for 2024.
All of the slides are in great condition -- I look at each and every slide before selling them to check for the condition. A few have the name of the subject written on one side of the frame.
These slides are labelled and have cardboard or plastic frames.
