The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) in your Mercedes-Benz is a wonderful feature, and is one of the reasons you car drives as well as it does.
 
ESP is a complex system that works to keep the car stable at all speeds while cornering and braking, and in doing to requires a multitude of sensors and control units. One such sensor is the vehicle lateral acceleration sensor.
 
This sensor is used to detect lateral movement in the vehicle during cornering, and sends that signal to the ESP control unit. On occasion, lateral acceleration sensors have been know to fail, and when they do, you will be presented with error messages about ESP, BAS and even ABS.
 
If your lateral acceleration sensor has failed, it must be replaced in order for the ESP, BAS, and ABS to continue to function properly. Fortunately, ECS Tuning offers this brand new sensor, directly from Mercedes-Benz, so that you can get your car back on the road, and driving as well as it did when it was new.
