From the Eberlestock website: Mainframe is the the primary base platform for the EMOD™ system with a constantly growing number of accessories. Build it up to be a multi-day expedition pack, or go in light so you can come out heavy. Tested to hold more than 1300 lbs., this ultra-rugged frame utilizes top of the line zippers to allow the attachment of a variety of packs and accessories to fit any backcountry hunt. The Mainframe™ is fully adjustable and completely user configurable with endless combinations.

The pack is the Vapor 5000™ is the larger option of our ultra-lightweight series of EMOD™ packs with a capacity of 5000 cubic inches. It is simply an attachment bag. The Vapor is designed specifically around the Mainframe™, the Vapor Series is our most versatile and lightweight pack system. The 5000 has a roll top. External features include extended depth stretch pockets to retain drink bottles, spotting scopes, tripods, etc. The center front panel utilizes the same 140D two-way stretch material to create a zippered pocket for items requiring quick access. Camouflage options use 450D Aramid reinforced ripstop. Removable Duraflex HD 25mm buckles allow you to expand the pack from the frame and create a channel to carry meat bags or heavy loads close to body and center of gravity.

The EMOD Lid, which attaches to the Vapor and Mainframe system in 4 locations using quick-detach gatekeeper buckles. The EMOD Lid allows you to add additional capacity to the Vapor for smaller items and utilize the Lid to compress items between it and the top of the Vapor pack.
