"Hyonko Dance" is a traditional performing art that has been passed down since the Edo period and it is a dance included in the Hyotoko Seven Lucky Gods dance at Takashiba Deco Yashiki designated as an important intangible folk cultural property in Koriyama City.

The mouthless "Hyotoko half-mask" is a unique paper-mâché mask from Deco Yashiki.

Every year on the first Sunday of June the "Takashiba Deco Festival" is held at Deco Yashiki featuring performances of the Takashiba Seven Lucky Gods dance and an impromptu Hyottoko dance entertainment competition.

Characteristics of Hikozoe folk art masks: They have holes at the nose to prevent feeling suffocated while dancing. The back of the mask is coated with a color fixative to prevent color fading due to sweat (the front is also coated).
