The decoration on this Edo period bowl is just phenomenal! Classic mountain and chrysanthemum flower and leaf motifs with a large soaring phoenix frame a central floral design. The underside is heavily decorated with a wave of alternating red and blue clouds encircling the foot. Wear, decoration, production flaws consistent with an early 1800s piece.

This bowl measures 6.5" in diameter and 1⅛" tall.

There are 3 chips to the rim, one of which has a small fracture running from it.
