This is a Showa-era retro promotional novelty mug from Japan Sogo Bank.
According to online research, Japan Sogo Bank changed its name to Taiyo Bank in 1968, and through subsequent mergers eventually became what is now Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).
Based on this history, this mug is believed to have been produced before 1968.
