MAJOR ALFRED RULE CRIMEA MINIATURE MEDAL GROUP XXth Regt & KINGS GUARD
Rule served as Colour Sergeant with the XXth Regiment of Foot during the Crimean War. He was one of very few infantrymen awarded a fourth Crimea medal clasp following action at Balaclava. Later Rule joined the volunteer force the Post Office Rifles under Captain John Lowther De Plas Taylor and was a member of the King's Body Guard, Yeoman of the Guard from the 1880's through to 1915.

Major Arthur Rule's original miniature medal group in Spink fitted case. Nine medals including Crimea with four clasps, Royal Victorian Order, 1887 Jubilee Medal with 1897 clasp, Coronation medals 1902 & 1911, Meritorious Service Medal, Long Service Medal, Imperial Order of the Legion of Honor, Turkish Crimea Medal. Original cabinet portrait photograph of Arthur Rule is included with the medals. Also included is an old photocopy of his list of awards.
