High quality reproduction steel Kettle Helmet. Based on helmets seen in the Maciejowski or Morgan Bible dated approximately 1250 CE. Made by hand by Tomasz Samula of Tomala Armouries in Poland. This helmet has a circumference of 72 CM and is designed to fit over an inner felt or cloth coif and a mail coif. Leather tie chin strap appropriate to the period. The helmet has been finished by hand sanding and has forge marks still visible.
The steel is 2 MM thick and although designed for full contact battle re-enactment, it has not been used for combat. It has been used for display only and is in excellent condition.
