Please look at all the photos to see the excellent, virtually as new, condition of this 1999 vintage Omega De Ville Prestige 18k gold & stainless steel quartz watch and bracelet.

This Omega watch is in excellent cosmetic condition with no significant marks, scratches or blemishes to the case, case back or the original matching bracelet. The case and bracelet are in polished stainless steel with an 18k gold polished bezel, crown and alternate bracelet links. The De Ville case back is in brushed stainless steel and embossed with the serial number. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is completely clear and blemish-free. Also in excellent condition are the original polished hour, minute and second hands, set against the original champagne-coloured dial with polished Roman numeral hour markings. An original spare bracelet link is included to extend the bracelet if necessary to fit a slightly larger wrist.

The watch is in perfect fully-working order having recently had a brand new ETA quartz movement and a new battery professionally fitted (Omega quartz movements are manufactured by Swiss company ETA for Omega). This watch was originally purchased brand new by me in 1999 but has rarely been worn, having been kept for dress wear only. The crown/adjustment mechanism had become very stiff due to infrequent use so that it was not possible to adjust the time or date. Therefore, Nottingham Watch Repair Ltd., an independent luxury watch specialist, fitted a brand new replacement ETA quartz mechanism in December 2025 at a cost of £319.

Buyers should be aware that the original Omega quartz mechanism showed the date numerals set against a gold-coloured background in the date window. Due to the vintage of this watch, the correct replacement ETA quartz mechanism is now only available with the date numerals shown against a white background in the date window. Nevertheless, as the photos show, this makes the date very clear to read and blends nicely with the gold and silver style of the watch.

This lovely Omega De Ville quartz watch comes in the original Omega red leather display box. This has external surface wear to the leather consistent with the 1999 vintage, as can be seen in the photos. The display box contains an original red leather Omega pouch containing the operating instruction manual and a card showing the model reference, watch serial number and purchase date. Also included is the original Omega white cardboard outer storage box.
