The following leak test steps are required prior to installation：
Step 1. the metal rod above the fuel injector is the fuel rail. Use a socket and ratchet to remove the bolts and brackets that hold the fuel rail in place.
Step 2. make sure the engine is cold enough to touch. Disconnect the battery. Remove the plastic engine cover using the appropriate socket. Set cover aside.
Step 3. use pliers to disconnect the electrical connectors on each injector.
Step 4. lift the fuel rail off the intake manifold with the injectors on.
Step 5. Inspect the injectors. If you see a small metal clip that looks like a staple, use a small one-piece screwdriver to remove or depress the clip. Then grab the injector and move it back and forth while pulling out the fuel rail. The injector and rail will drip, so have a towel ready.
Step 6. press the injector into the rail until it stops. Install metal clips, if equipped. Reconnect the fuel rail. Arrange all injectors over their respective holes, then press each injector until they slide into place. Leave the fuel rail. The injectors and rails will drip, so have a towel ready.
Step 7. latch the fuel rails. Reconnect the fuel lines. Plug in injector electrical connections. Reconnect the battery.
Step 8. turn the key to the on position, wait 10 seconds, then check all injectors for fuel leaks, then turn the engine to start. When the engine speed drops to normal idle RPM, turn off the engine. Check all injectors again for fuel leaks.
