Omec F8 automatic dovetailing machine – 2003
For sale is our Omec F8 multiple milling / dovetail machine, used in our kitchen workshop for producing solid timber dovetail drawer boxes.
We’re only selling because we now have a requirement to produce a lot of downturn drawer fronts, which this fixed-pitch F8 can’t do. For standard dovetail drawer boxes it’s ideal and very productive.
Condition
• Used, workshop-clean rather than showroom-clean
• Well maintained and regularly serviced during our ownership
• Currently wired up and can be seen running by appointment
• Guards and safety interlocks in place, emergency stop working
What it’s good at
This machine is perfect for anyone wanting to produce dovetail drawer boxes in volume – joinery shops, furniture makers or a small production line.
Eight spindles cut male and female parts in one pass with automatic clamping, so once set you can run batches quickly and consistently.

We’ve moved to a different set-up to handle downturn fronts on drawer boxes, which this F8 can’t produce. Otherwise the machine has been reliable and still has plenty of life in it.
