This is a new, never issued, never used Cash Receipt 50 coupon booklet printed by Globe Ticket company for Trenton, New Jersey’s “Capital Transit” for use by bus operators in 1969 and 1970. Each coupon (ticket) is folded with duplicate coupon that carries the same number. The series for this booklet is from #1251 to #1300. The coupon resembles a train cash fare receipt, with “station” names and associated fares, presumably for “bus stations”, at 17 locations between Trenton and Seaside Park. There is no route number associated with the booklet. The station names are along the present day Route 33 corridor. Interestingly, Capital Transit (a privately held company) was acquired by a new ownership group in late 1969 and renamed Mercer County Metro. Asa result, this booklet represented the final days of Capital Transit. It’s quite likely the unissued booklet became someone’s personal memorabilia when the company’s name changed and new printed material carrying Mercer Metro’s name was issued. The company’s Vice President, whose name is printed on each ticket, appears to be Joe Hamilton.
