👖 How to Wash Samurai Jeans

“About First Wash”

The main purpose of this first wash is to remove the glue, It also means "to control shrinkage."

When you first receive your purchase, the socks are glued together and feel stiff.
Instead of wearing them in this state, first wash them in water to remove the glue and make them more comfortable against your skin.
It helps reduce unevenness in color fading.

Also, when you purchase it, it is rigid (raw), so removing the glue will cause it to twist and shrink in a unique way.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.

First, turn your jeans inside out and then soak them in cool-lukearm water.

2.

Press down firmly to remove any air remaining inside the jeans, so that they don't become unevenly coated, and then leave them alone.

Even if some of the jeans are sticking out of the water, there's no need to worry as long as you've removed the air properly as described above.

Soaking for 1-2 hours is sufficient. At most, a day and a night is best.

3.

Once the dye has run out and the color has changed, remove the garment from the water, drain it thoroughly, and wash it in the washing machine on a strong cycle.

Hand washing is also fine. No detergent is necessary for the first wash, but if you do, please use one that does not contain fluorescent agents or bleach.

Extra heavy-ounce denim is very stiff, so please knead it thoroughly to loosen it up before putting it in the washing machine, so that it does not turn in a stiff state.

4.

Rinse thoroughly.

5.

Once the washing is done, spin the clothes for a short time on a strong spin cycle.

6.

Once the spin-drying is complete, remove any wrinkles and dry inside out in the shade.

7.

Although we at Samurai Jeans do not recommend it, if you do use a dryer, please consider the type of jeans and the length of time before using them.

Avoid drying them for too long to prevent shrinkage or over-softening the fabric.

We hope you will view the methods listed here as merely general examples.

Some people use a fully automatic washing machine for all steps, while others wear their jeans as is without washing them.

It's a good idea to find your own washing method to help develop your jeans in the ideal condition.

By continuing to wear and love your Samurai Jeans for a long time, you will develop a pair that fits your body and will be a favorite for many years to come.
