I present to your attention a book of memoirs of the Chernobyl accident liquidators, by Alexander Kupny, in hardcover. FIRST EDITION!
This is a book of memoirs. The people who went through Chernobyl will tell you about their work, which we consider to be heroic. It con- tains 12 stories about mitigation of the accident aftermath, about the life and efforts taken by the characters of this book and other under ex- traordinary conditions. At different times and to a different degree they had to deal with the Chernobyl disaster and the Shelter. They were man- agers, scientists, first researchers of the destroyed power unit "stalkers". The memoirs are illustrated by photos from personal archives of the people involved in the mitigation activities. The second part of the book presents photos from Aleksander Kupny. Most of the photos are unique and have never been made public before.

Aleksander Valentinovich Kupnyi
- has been involved in the nuclear power industry since 1977; he worked as a dosimetrist at the Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Plant, as a reactor shop operator at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, and as a liquidator of the consequences of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster. From May 1988 to June 2009, he worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. During this period, he worked in the following departments: the Shelter Facility Dosimetry Survey Team; as a journalist and photographer in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Information Department; and as an instructor at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Shelter Training Center.
