16cm by 20cm softback lined exercise book with around 44 pages which has been used to record a comprehensive history of Manchester United FC for the 1937-1938 Season.
As shown in the scans contents comprise mostly handwritten details of matches and team line-ups as well some written match notes which I think would have been transcribed from old newspaper reports and an occasional photocopied other piece of text or player image etc ( a note at the start states that printed comments were taken from the Manchester Guardian ).
The original compiler ( see below ) had a strong interest in 1930's Football and this book must have taken many hours of pouring over old newspapers to put together I think around the 1990's.
This was compiled by Malcolm 'Malc' Hartley the well known Telegraph and Argus Journalist / Assistant Editor who also wrote 5 books on Bradford Park Avenue FC and who was a well known member of the AFS or Association of Football Statisticians.
Very good condition, contains information that would take untold hours to collect so a great reference item for fan's of the Club or a nice piece of general memorabilia.
