1937 Press Photo Union Leader Speaks at Strike at Lehigh Navigation Coal Company
A union leader addressing a mass meeting in front of the offices of the Lehigh Navigation Coal Company, 6,500 miners of which have walked out on the strike in sympathy with miners sitting down in the company's Coaldale, Pennsylvania, colliery. This crowd of miners was told that Jesse B. Warriner, president of the company would listen to their grievances, only after they return to work. Photo measures 9.25 x 7 inches. Photo Is dated 1937.
