Original 1977 Patti Smith Group “Radio Ethiopia” promotional newsletter / fan mailing – two 8½ × 11″ sheets stapled at the top, exactly as issued by Andi Ostrowe and the band’s small DIY network in spring/summer 1977.

Front page features Patti’s poem “Radio Ethiopia (the tongue of love)” in facsimile handwriting (printed reproduction of her actual writing, as every known copy is), the classic silhouetted stage-rigging photo, and “R.E.F.M.” doodle.

Back page has the passionate Keith Richards tribute, the March 1977 FCC “indecent language” court victory clipping, Mer Records incorporation notice, the two official P.O. Box addresses (NYC & Mantua, NJ), crew thank-yous, and Andi Ostrowe’s closing.

This is the authentic 1977 piece – not a modern reprint or reproduction. All text, “signature,” and doodles are offset-printed facsimiles; no examples were individually handwritten or autographed. Very small run (likely a few hundred) run; almost never surfaces.

Condition: Excellent vintage – clean, crisp, staple intact, no tears, no writing, minimal handling wear (see photos).

Extremely scarce piece of peak-era Patti Smith / CBGB punk history from the raw, experimental Radio Ethiopia period. Serious collectors only – you know how rarely these appear.
