PCGS sighted 1MS65BN with 36BN lwr. The AU58 coin exhibited on PCGS site is not Indian obverse. This coin on offer is rated AU58, - 2nd highest below the MS65BN - extremely rare with 20k minted. This scarcity is on a par with 1923 Half Penny where the Mintage is estimated between 15-20K yet the 1927 Indian Obv is far far scarcer. Another comparable coin is the 1920 Dot Above Top Scroll Penny which are more plentiful with an estimated mintage of 93.6K (MD). The 1927 Indian Obverse Penny is clearly under-rated and under-valued by penny enthusiasts. A must for any serious Penny enthusiast looking to own a very rare penny.
