The lot includes:
- The Canterbury Tales, Ed. Boenig & Taylor, 2nd ed., 2012. Includes the complete Canterbury Tales with glosses on the Middle English and history/culture.
- Chaucer: Sources and Backgrounds, Ed. Robert P. Miller, 1977. Contains a rich trove of background and source material for most of Chaucer's Tales from Biblical roots to those in Classical Rome and Greece.
- The Wife of Bath, Ed. Peter G. Beidler. Case Studies in Contemporary Criticism, 1996. This volume includes the entire Wife of Bath's Prologue and Tale, and additionally takes a deep dive into the critical response to The Wife of Bath's Tale, including different critical approaches (e.g. New Historicism, Feminist, Deconstructionist, Marxist, etc.).
All are in at least "acceptable" condition. There are a few areas where parts of the text have been annotated or underlined. Otherwise, the books are in good condition.
