This is a 50 ft EXTERIOR POST INSULATED BOX CAR

Introduced in 1964, these insulated box cars were leased to a number of railroads and private industries. In service, they carried loads which required a constant temperature, but didn't need to be refrigerated in transit. This included foodstuffs like cereal, beer, canned goods and chocolate, as well as a variety of lubricants and chemicals. Using the same basic body, three variations were built, which differed in inside length, types and thickness of insulation and load restraints. Just over 1300 roamed the rails and a few remain in use today.

 

These ready-to-run cars feature a detailed body, colorful paint and working knuckle couplers. Perfect for modeling bridge traffic or serving on-line users and producers, they'll brighten any freight from the 60s to the 90s.

 We do combine shipping on multiple purchases.  If you do a Buy It Now the transaction requires immediate payment for each item separately. 

What you need to do is put it in the shopping cart and then when you go to checkout it will recalculate the shipping and combine the items for you.

PERSONAL INVENTORY:

Many of these unique items are from my personal inventory which was accumulated over the years.   They are hard to part with but due to downsizing in retirement they too are looking for a good home which can appreciate and enjoy them.

 

STORE INVENTORY:

Having discontinued my Hobby Store and left frigid “Minne-Snow-Da” I have relocated and retired to the warmer part of the country, Down to Sunny TEXAS.   

I will be Liquidating the remaining stock. 

I will be listing items over the next year or so clearing them out.
