Brand new, modified to operate Tyco R/Cs, Nikko 6V 720 mAh cassette batteries for sale!!

Have you wished you could run that old Tyco Rebound, Mutator or other OG classic R/C unit, but the battery's been dead for decades?

I have the fix! The charging contact tabs on Nikko 6V cassettes are slightly recessed, whereas the contacts on a Tyco 6V cassette are flush or very slightly proud of the plastic casing (see comparison pic). By soldering a bead on the Nikko contacts, then carefully shaving them flat to just the right profile, I've replicated the Tyco-style contacts.

These are new cells that pack a surprising punch! Don't let the 720 mAh fool you: these are WAY stronger and longer lasting than the old Tyco cassettes.

These will charge in your existing Tyco 6V 4-hour wall charger, but be aware of the potential contact gap, if you haven't inserted it fully into the charger (see pics). They will not charge properly, unless fully seated into the base charger.

Since the tabs protrude a bit, these Nikko cassettes take a little extra effort to remove from the r/c vehicle (with my Tyco Rebounds, I jiggle it loose, inside the battery compartment with my fingertips, then gently tap the truck on its rear wheels, holding it vertically while tapping on the table, until the cassette falls out).

This is the economy way to "bring your old favorite Tyco ________ back to life!"

See last pic, if on the fence: they will work great in your Tyco!

Please note: these will serve as a direct replacement for the original Tyco #2989 6V cassette battery.

Also, if you're missing the stock Tyco 6V plug-in wall charger, I have you covered! Please see my combined battery + charger listing here:
