Comic and baseball card publication named Baseball Greats – The Jimmy Piersall Story. Published in 1992. This was signed with a blue marker on the cover by Piersall. No authentication, but I guarantee it is original as it was signed to me at a card show in Phoenix in 1992. This is a comic version of his baseball career over his 17 year career. Piersall was best known for his well-publicized battle with bipolar disorder that became the subject of a book and a film, Fear Strikes Out. Beside the comic there are eight reproductions of some of his many baseball card images. 6 ½” x 10 ¼” and 30pages with the last few pages advertisements from the comic company. Very clean.
