H&R Coilover Suspension Monotube
The H&R Monotube coilover 29041-1 offers race-bred performance without sacrificing ride comfort and can be adjusted in height thanks to the externally adjustable thread. German-made gas shock absorbers built to H&R's rigid specifications are combined with H&R sport or race progressive rate springs for optimum ride quality on the street and uncompromising performance at the track. Like all H&R coilovers, these Monotube coilovers feature a threaded shock body that allows virtually infinite ride height adjustments to suit street or track use.
Product advantages of H&R Monotube coilovers: - Monotube gas shock absorbers for precise handling response
- Inverted design reduces unsprung weight for precise handling
- Trapezoid threaded shock body for virtually infinite height adjustment
- Zinc-phosphate coated shock tubes offer an attractive finish and corrosion protection
- H&R precision wound coil springs
- Adjustment wrenches included
- Extensive testing in accordance with the German TÜV
- Engineered and munfactured in Germany
H&R produces coilovers in different versions (mono-tube and twin-tube). Article 29041-1 refers to the version with Monotube shock absorbers. H&R Monotube refers to high-quality monotube gas pressure dampers on the front and rear axles that ensure precise driving and response behavior. Thanks to the upside-down axle strut, the Monotube model variant achieves particularly good lateral force support and precise wheel guidance, even with high lateral forces caused by acceleration, braking or cornering.
Manufacture of the H&R Monotube coilovers H&R Monotube coilovers are made of high-quality steel. The monotube technology of the dampers is combined with specially made H&R sports or racing springs and individually tuned for sporty operation on the road through extensive driving tests. The robust trapezoidal threads can still be adjusted even after long periods of use while driving. With an H&R Monotube coilover suspension, the vehicle has sporty, dynamic yet comfortable driving characteristics.
The minimum clearance between tires and suspension/body parts is 5 mm. If the clearance is less than 5 mm, it has to be restored with wheel spacers or reworking thebodywork. This bodywork and/or arising costs are not covered by H&R. Lowering beyond the dimensions given in the type approval may result in damage. These damages are not covered by H&R.All DR-Systems require longer wheel-bolts. These have to be ordered separately. When ordering wheel-bolts please follow these guidelines: If possible name the type of the wheel when ordering. New bolts must be longer than the original ones by half of the total Track-widening. For example: With a 30 mm DR-kit you will require bolts that are 15 mm longer than the original bolts. The bold-head must be identical to the existing bolt: Taper 60° Round-head for M12/d24 mm, for M14/d28 mm Round-head for M12/d26 mm (e.g. OE VAG-wheels) Flat-head with disc for CITROEN/PEUGEOT-vehicles M12x1,25 Flat-head for PORSCHE-original-wheels M14x1,5
Safety Guidelines (No. of turns for wheel screws)
M12x1,5 = 6,5 turns = approx. 10 mm of load bearing shaft length
M12x1,25 = 8,0 turns = approx. 10 mm of load bearing shaft length
M12x1,75 = 6,5 turns = approx. 12 mm of load bearing shaft length
M14x1,5 = 7,5 turns = approx. 12 mm of load bearing shaft length 1/2"UNF = 8,0 turns = approx. 11 mm of load bearing shaft length
Please ensure that the wheel screws do not damage any part of the brake system (ABS sensors etc.) Turn the wheel first by hand and check clearance on the inside (max. tolerance for some vehicles is only 2 mm (RA Mercedes). DR = The wheel spacer should be fitted between the wheel and the axial hub using longer bolts not supplied - please order separately. When ordering the longer bolts please state which cone type you require (i.e. taper, round, loose round or flat) and the required extra length.
All screws for the DR systems have to be orderded separately.
These spacers without a double-sided centering are only useable for cars with a sufficient length of the centering to be able to center the wheels enough despite the spacer. Lowering beyond the dimensions given in the type approval may result in damage. These damages are not covered by H&R.
