PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This universal 3/8-inch impeller modification kit is designed to boost the performance of most two-stage snow blowers by significantly reducing the gap between the impeller blades and the housing. A smaller gap results in stronger snow discharge, greater efficiency, and reduced clogging in heavy or wet conditions.
The kit includes durable 304 stainless steel hardware, offering superior corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. Unlike standard zinc-coated screws that seize or rust over time, these stainless components allow repeat removal, installation, and use even in harsh winter environments.
The SBR rubber paddles are 3/8" thick (2" W x 5" L), made from high-strength material with a minimum tensile strength of 725 PSI and a durometer rating of 65–75 for optimal durability. The stainless metal straps measure 1 3/8" W x 3 3/4" L and are crafted from 1/16" thick flat bar to securely support the paddles.
Includes:
• 3 Rubber Paddles
• 3 Stainless Metal Straps
• 9 Bolts & Lock Nuts (5/16-18 x 1, coarse thread)
• 3 Stainless Self-Tapping Screws (#14 x 1)
• Hardware compatible with most 2-stage machines
This kit is built to withstand repeated use and demanding winter conditions. Always confirm compatibility with your machine prior to purchase.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will this kit fit my two-stage snow blower?
It is designed as a universal modification kit, but you should verify your machine’s blade size and mounting layout before installing.
What is the purpose of an impeller modification kit?
It reduces the gap between the impeller blades and the housing, increasing snow-throwing distance and minimizing clogging.
Are the bolts and screws rust-resistant?
Yes, all hardware is made from 304 stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance.
Can the components be reused after installation?
Yes. The stainless hardware prevents seizing or rust welding, allowing repeated removal and reinstallation.
How thick are the rubber paddles?
The paddles are 3/8" thick and made from durable SBR rubber.
Does this kit work in heavy, wet snow?
Yes, the reduced impeller gap improves performance in wet or slushy conditions.
Do I need special tools for installation?
Standard tools such as a 1/2" wrench and socket are typically sufficient.
Will this void my snow blower warranty?
As this is a modification, you should check your manufacturer’s warranty policy before installation.
Is installation difficult?
Most users find installation straightforward; it involves attaching paddles and hardware to each impeller blade.
Can I install the kit in cold weather?
Installation is possible, but fitting rubber components is usually easier at warmer temperatures
